Aromatherapy Massage

 

Aromatherapy Massage is one of the best ways to experience essential oils, combining the benefit and nourishment of touch and the therapeutic effects of aromatic essences.  Holistic massage eases stiff aching muscles, lowers heart rate and blood pressure, and aids the elimination of toxins by stimulating circulation and lymphatic drainage. It calms the emotions, stills the mind and uplifts the spirit.

Massage can be greatly beneficial for many conditions, including: back pain, sciatic discomfort, respiratory difficulties, digestive discomfort, circulatory issues, insomnia, aching stiff muscles, arthritic/rheumatic pain, grief and bereavement, anxiety, menstrual issues, peri-menopausal symptoms, race-based trauma and PTSD.

I offer deeply rejuvenating 60 or 90 minutes Aromatherapy Massage treatments and we will have a brief consultation/check-in at the beginning of each session so I can hear how you are in the present moment and choose essential oils that will benefit you most. My approach is to work with long rhythmic strokes, gentle stretches, a slow pace and pauses to allow the body to settle into relaxation and integrate at its own pace. I apply deeper pressure in specific areas as needed to release muscular tension. The slow flowing movement of the massage encourages a profound sense of connection and wholeness. It is a sensory ‘coming home’ to oneself.
